NPQ for Headship (NPQH)

Our NPQH has been designed with both existing and aspiring Headteachers in mind. It is a qualification delivered flexibly and offers a blend of face to face, online and self-directed study over an 18-month period.

NPQH modules cover a wide range of themes, including:

      * School culture                                     * Teaching

      * Curriculum and assessment               * Behaviour

      * Additional and special needs             * Professional development

      * Organisational management              * Working in partnership

      * Governance and accountability         * Implementation

The need for a large project has been removed from the reformed suite of NPQs and the assessment process has been streamlined to take into account the workload of busy school leaders.

Our mission is to ensure that all school leaders in Leicester and Leicestershire get the best training and support to succeed. We understand how important professional learning is and we are committed to helping delegates develop their strength as a leader and fully develop the unique expertise they offer their school.

You will be expertly supported by our facilitation team who truly represent the diversity and experience of school leadership within our region. Our facilitators are all existing school leaders from Leicester and Leicestershire and are well versed in the context we work within. 

The Department for Education have announced that NPQH will remain fully funded for the Autumn 2024 cohort.
